Gerald Shaye teaches International Business and International Marketing in the MBA programs at Union Graduate College, The Sage Colleges and The State University of New York at Albany. He also teaches International Business in the MBA program at the Universidad Del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Jerry consults with the city government of Tula, Russia, and has lectured on trade promotion to businesspeople and students at Russian universities. He has consulted with governmental authorities in Kazan, Tatarstan, on export and entrepreneurship issues and taught a course at Kazan Federal University. He has also taught International Business at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics in China.
For fifteen consecutive years Jerry has lectured at the International Economic Development Council’s Basic Economic Development Course on the “Role of the Economic Developer in the Growing Global Economy.”
Jerry then joined The Boulton Group, a large Venezuelan trading and manufacturing business, specializing in the manufacture, importation and distribution of food products, wines and liquors, construction materials and oilfield equipment. For over 10 years, Jerry held positions of increasing responsibility, including sales manager, general manager and vice-president, gaining diverse professional experience in manufacturing and international trade.
Mr. Shaye is a frequent speaker on topics related to international trade. He is completely fluent in spoken and written Spanish and frequently travels internationally for both business and pleasure.
